Story:
The tour is part of the activities related to the market of
"Fumeiro e Azeite" (smoked pork sausages ("chouriço" and related products) and olive oil). It starts at Proença-a-Velha in the
municipality of Idanha-a-Nova. The track follows a very diverse and beautiful
landscape and has great single-tracks. One of the highlights is the magnificent
lake of the large dam of Marshal Carmona where the Boom festival is held every second year. In this area there are many well
preserved medieval towns, including some of the Portuguese historical villages
(Monsanto, Idanha-a-Velha and Castelo Novo).
