Story:
rented a 'sit-on-top' kayak from Julie's rentals this week - $35 for a day rental, but you better call ahead as they're not open very much this time of year!

Lots of the houses on the Island are empty, so just about any dock on a canal or waterway will do, if there's no body home.  but there's also a sandy bank on an empty lot on this route that works, too.

beautiful day, but not too much fauna out - just a few birds here and there, and a very, very quiet island marsh.
Tips:
watch the tides -- this route is probably impossible at low tide, but very easy at high tide.
