Tips:
SAM Bus Nº? from Machico to Portela. Ask the driver where to stop.
At Ribeiro Frio visit the Acqua Culture Center and drink a Poncha!
Take bus to Santana or Arco de São Jorge. At Arco São Jorge there is another company (RODOESTE) that will take you to São Vicente or Porto Moniz, but be carefull because of the reduced schedules at this part of the Island.
This trail can be made the other way arround. Take the BUS from Funchal to Ribeiro Frio and then a Bus from Portela to Machico and then to Funchal.
