Story:
I joined my buddies Greg, Falco and Rogier (The almost complete Mera Peak 2003 Team) for two days of skiing in the Verbier Ski Area.
A combination of (i) 24h travel from SFO, (ii) not having skied for almost 2 years and (iii) having neglected training for most of 2008 caused my body to give up after these 2 days. I was floored for the next couple of days....
The skiing that i did squeeze in was great however. The snow was very good, esp for the time of year, and we had some great runs of Mt Fort and towards Tortin (from both sides). Another great run was down the Col des Mines area towards Verbier.
After these 2 days we did skin up to the Col du Gr St Bernard /where we stayed for the night, and my buddies did 2 nice tours.
