Myself and Isaac had been suffering from a bad dose of cabin fever with all the Christmas snow stopping us going caching. As the snow had now just about cleared, we decided it was high time for a day out.
We started off with two quick caches on the way to Frankton and then set out on foot for the Frankton Frolics series. This is a series of 21 caches, with one non-series cache along the way, on a 5.5 mile triangular walk.
After we'd finished in Frankton, we hopped over the border into Wales and set off round the Ruabon Circular series. This turned out to be a fab walk with lots of great Welsh scenery and some really interesting old quarry remains, plus an ancient hill fort.
After we'd done all the caches in Ruabon we headed up to Wrexham to do a few quick caches in the short time before it went dark.
On the way home we stopped for 3 quick caches near Overton but had a DNF on two of them, mainly due to the dark.
44 finds for the day which we were well pleased with. Another great day out with my boy too!
