Story:
This was an awesome bike trip. It is not what we originally had planned, but we kind of stubbled into it when we found ourselves in Shelter Cove looking for a bike ride.
The BLM manages the trail. Here is their info:

It is a 14 mile single track trail through the North Coast forest. You can drive to the trail head, but we didn't have a car, so we had to ride up from Shelter Cove which is a 2000' climb up a paved road.
It was a great trip, had the trail all to ourselves.
