ONE THOUSAND MILES! On Thanksgiving 2009 my son Jesse and I set a goal to run 1,000 miles before Thanksgiving November 2010 - one year. Today I crossed that finish line days ahead of schedule. AND I CROSSED THE 1,000 MILESTONE ON A BRIDGE CROSSING THE TIBER RIVER IN ROME! My story detailing our family's conversion to the Catholic Church is told in my book "Crossing the Tiber: Evangelical Protestants Discover the Early Church."It was SO COOL TO CROSS MY 1,000 RUNNING GOAL ON A BRIDGE CROSSING THE TIBER IN ROME. After Crossing the Tiber I ran to St. Peters Basilica and thanked God for bringing our family, and thousands of people in our wake, into the Catholic Church. Enjoy my run in the rain!
