Story:
Starting from Site #13 in Campground #1 near Cub Creek Lake in the Natchez Trace State Park. This is a typical lake walk involving many elongated detours around fingers of the lake. We didn't know where the trail began, so we just left our camp and started circumnavigating. On my map, I've marked the point at which the trail actually began behind the Cabin Area. You can save yourself some bushwhacking by beginning there! There are a couple of junctions; we followed orange blazes, then orange and white, then signs pointing to Cub Creek Lake Side Trail. A nice walk through some swampy areas... would imagine this is mosquito heaven earlier in the year! We ended up walking along the roads back to our camp.

Tips:
You might consider stopping for a trail map at the Park Headquarters. We did not--it appeared closed--and the network of trails could be potentially confusing. I used my gps maps (which did not have trails marked) to make decisions on where to go (important because it was late and getting dark! not a place I would have enjoyed spending a rainy night!)
