Story:
Easy hike in the Ridgeline Open Space park. This is one route of many in a nice trail system above the housing sub-development to the north. This route starts in the parking lot and climbs up gently and loops around the eastern-most trail of the Ridgeline Open Space park. Great view from the top of a good portion of the Front Range mountains and the valley to the north. There are sitting benches available. The route is hard packed dirt that is easy to hike and mountain bike. The landscape is combination of scrub oak and open meadow. There is little shade along the route, unless you dive under scrub oak near the trail.  More information and a complete trail map can be found here:  http://co-castlerock.civicplus.com/facilities.aspx?pagenum=2&RID=40&Page=detail
