Story:
We set off on our 3 day adventure from Stack Rocks car park.
Our first port of call was the Green Bridge of Wales which, for a first glimpse of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path took a bit of beating.
Then we entered the Castlemartin firing range and headed east. It would be unfair to pick out any particular bay which stood out as spectacular as each time we came across another bay we just stood and stared in wonder, however of particular and scary note was Huntsman Leap.
By the time we reached St Govan's Chapel we were ready for lunch - so we dropped down and examined the building after which we descended further and had our lunch on the rocks. The sun was hot and we soon took off our waterproofs and fleeces and warmed up nicely.
After packing up and climbing back to the to it started to spit with rain. The nearby black clouds persuaded us to put all the waterproofs back on again after which rain accompanied us to Broad Haven when the sun came out again. We took a tour round Bosherston Lakes and then continued on our way rounding Stackpole Head and descending onto the beach at Barafundle Bay where we sat in the dunes and had coffee.
The coastline by now had become more undulating and the path narrowed and at times was very close to the edge of the cliff. We passed through Stackpole Quay and continued east and soon our destination came into view. Unashamedly we cut across the neck of Trewent Point and headed towards our escellent B&B at East Trewent having covered 12.3 miles
