Story:
Will, Salem, Rod, and I took a drive down old Hwy 71 to see the fall color, have a picnic, check out the new Lake Fort Smith State Park, and do a little hiking on a piece of the Ozark Highlands Trail that none of us had ever been on. We even did a little geocaching. The weather was gorgeous, and I was pleasantly surprised at the beauty and variety of things to see on the first two miles of the OHT. We even saw a few backpackers heading out, and the kids told me they are ready for an overnighter with me.
