Story:
The track actually starts at our campsite in the park as we travel to where the loop begins and The "New Giant Trail" head. There is a spur off this trail that takes you to a vista of the dam. You then return to the trail and continue on. We ended on Mud Road just north of the park and walked it north up Tyler Road then went east on Tyler just a short distance to where the "Laurel Run" trailhead is located.

Tips:
There is a pretty steep ascent to the vista spur approuching from the west.
