Story:
The perfect hike on a hot day because this trail has almost 95% shade.

However, be prepared - once you start it is up, up and up - no respite whatsoever until you reach Highway 35. The hike parallel to 35 is the relatively flat and quite relaxing specially if you get lucky with the fresh pacific breeze.

Tips:
Parking at the Youth Hostel is limited. You may choose to begin this trail at the Park HQ if you don't find parking at the Hostel.
