Story:
4 day, 3 night journey from the Franklin Pierce campus in Rindge, up and over Mount Monadnock and then through the lakes and forests of southern New Hampshire on the lower section of the Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway.  Incoming students undertake the trip with trained student trip leaders to connect with new friends while taking in the areas that will surround them during their academic careers.
Tips:
Water sources are scarce coming up and down Mount Monadnock.  Be sure to bring several liters of water for this section.  Also- a fierce windstorm blocked off a 2+ mile section in Harrisville on the way to Nelson.  Unfortunately this requires a 2.3 mile detour on pavement- hard on the feet and not very scenic.  Thankfully traffic is light on the way to the tiny town of Nelson, NH.
