Story:
A nice day for paddling - temp in the mid-90s, wind from the south-southeast at 5-10 mph. Staying out of channels and in shallower water minimized problems with other boat traffic, though boat wakes were frequent, irregular, and as high as 3 feet.

Lots of interesting scenery on this route, including the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis Harbor, Greenbury Point with its three tall transmission towers, plenty of undeveloped shoreline along the bay, the twin spans of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, and the crowded beaches of Sandy Point State Park on a hot summer Sunday.
Tips:
Watch for the No Boats buoys around Sandy Point State Park. The closure includes human-powered boats and the lifeguards are quick to make you aware of that if you cruise inside the buoys.
