Tips:
From the top of Chief Joseph Pass follow the short CDT section from the parking lot across Highway43 to Anderson Mtn. Road.  It is about 5.5 miles to Rd6111 where the CDT leaves the Anderson Mtn Road.  It is another .7mi to Anderson Mtn if you want to go and take in the view from there.

Follow 6111, maybe .5mi, until you see a singletrack peel to the right.  This is the CDT.

The start of Three Mile Ridge Trail is about 3.8mi on the CDT (9.8mi from the start).  There are two "hike-a-bikes" getting to Three Mile Ridge.  The first after about 1.9mi on the CDT.  The second hike is through the 2003 burn and is after about 3mi on the CDT.

At the top of the burn section is a sign saying "Water, Three Mile Ridge, Nez Perce Ridge etc".  Ignore this sign, it is another .3mi from there to the actual Three Mile Ridge Trail.

Once on the Three Mile Ridge Trail you will contour south from the CDT then west for about a mile before picking up the Ridge itself.  From here you get on a 4wheeler trail and stay on this all the way to Dahlonega Creek Road a couple miles above Gibbonsville.

If you ride this between Thursday and Sunday, don't forget to stop at the Broken Arrow for Chile Verde and a cold beer!!
