Story:
On Friday we drove from Wawona down to the Valley and stopped at Glacier Point. The sky was clear and the views were amazing, as expected. A few of us (Me, my Dad, brother, Susan, and Cara) decided to hike down to the Valley along the Panorama Trail and meet the others down there. We started off on our 8.5-mile hike and immediately stopped every few seconds to take another picture, the views were just spectacular.

It took around 4.5 hours total with a few breaks for views and a lunch at the top of Nevada Fall before we made it down to the valley, and our calves were sore for the rest of the trip, but I will always remember the amazing views of Half Dome's profile with Vernal and Nevada Falls to its side.

Your photos really bring this to life. Thanks for the description and GPX file. We did this hike years ago - and got to Curry Village too late for the last bus back to Glacier Point. "Hey, it's only another 4 miles", I said foolishly, before hiking up 4 Mile trail to get back to our car. I do not recommend the loop!

The views of Half Dome and Clouds Rest from Glacier Point are sensational. Every time I see photos from that place, it looks like an imaginary painting. Great panorama too.

Awesome Chris...I've visited Yosemite only once and fell in love you with it... looking forward to when the kids are a little older to bring them back. Views are beyond words....
