Story:
Esmeralda Basin / Fortune Pass trail hike. It was so nice we did it twice in two weekends hence the discrepancy in the position and order of some pictures. We enjoed the streams, some which have beed dissapeared along with the snow, wildflowers were blooming, hummingbirds in the meadows, nosediving and humming around, too difficult to catch them on the camera.

The views from the saddle are nice, Mt Daniels and Mt Hawkins being the stars.
Tips:
The place seems to get hotter as the summer approaches so one may choose to do it right after the snow melts to enjoy it while still wet.

The alternate route to the first switchback (the original route I should say) is not recommanded is it is very soggy and bugs abound.

Trail open to horses are common so be aware of road apples, not a problem though.
