Story:
A very nice and pleasant hike with great views from the summit. The start of the loop is a not at either of the main entrances, but off of Old Mountain Road which is one way coming from Hockanum Road (47) near an old graveyard. You'll split off the path from the summit and follow the Dry Brook trail with is well blazed in blue. It's a mostly level trek through the woods with some modest ascents as you near the road(currently closed) that goes to the summit. Once you get past the road it gets a lot steeper as you quickly climb to the summit where there are picnic tables and grills as well as Summit House. The descent has some pretty steep portions that require care, especially with the sliperyness of fallen leaves. You'll break out of the trees a few times to see the surrounding countryside, but for the most part the best views are at the summit.
