Story:
Hiking - Seoraksan National Park, South Korea, is located near the city of Sokcho. I took the trail to Ulsanbawi (Rock from Ulsan) on a beautiful and warm December 2004 day. The 2-hour climb is relatively easy as the last stretch to the summit develops through granite peaks on a man-made staircase, making it feasible to the less experienced mountaineers although the elevation change requires a decent fitness. Magnificent scenery and nice views over the Pacific Ocean and Mount Seorak. A couple of temples along the way are worth a visit, including the "rocking rock" at Gyejoam.
