Story:
The spookiest creatures were out last night. Marauding bands of 8 year olds with light sticks, and teenage girls sitting on street corners. Everyone wanted to give away candy, in some socialist attack on my pancreas.
We avoided, or rather missed, the busiest section of Old Palo Alto, sometimes known as the Waverly Highway. Instead my kids opted for the neighborhood of their friends, but I think those friends went on the highway, not myway. Alas. When will they ever learn.
Still, we came away with lots of candy and plaudits.
