Story:
This was my third time biking on Angel Island. It's been years from my last visit. The island is fully recovered from fire back in Oct 2008. Now they have 2 restaurants, 1 gift shop and 1 bike rental on the island. They also turned the immigration station into a small museum showing Angel Island history.
My friends and I rent bikes from Blazing Saddles at Fishermen's wharf, and took Blue and Gold Fleet Ferry from Pier 39 to angel island. It was a perfect day for biking, weather was sunny with breeze. Biking route is great, no cars around so it's always safe. Mostly concrete road with up and down hills. We had great time. I highly recommend it!
Tips:
A full biking loop is about an hour, it's perfect for beginners.

Ferry ticket from fishermen's wharf to angel island is around $16
