Rocky Gap Road a.k.a. Potato Ridge - Nevada, United States

We were doing some site seeing in Red Rock Canyon and found an offroad path so we decided to take it in the jeep. Well a few hours later, it was dark and trail was getting harder and harder. With no tools, limited fuel and no cell phone service we decided to turn back around. Later we found out that this trail goes on for 6 miles and takes 3-4 hours to complete. We were glad to make it out with minimal damage to the jeep but wished we could have completed it..

I drove most of the road with my 8 year old in my Wrangler JK a few days ago. I'm not running stock, and there were a few spots where a stock Wrangler would have been hung up. There was a decent amount of ice filling the washes which made them easier from a clearance standpoint, but more challenging from a control perspective. Take this trail seriously.

This a quick fun trail that can be run during the day or night. Snow is expected in the winter. The big obstacles mostly have a bypasses but the trail has become washed out over time so the obstacles are getting more challenging. Stock vehicles can make it but skids and sliders are recommended. This was done with a 4x4 Nissan Xterra.

Updated, thanks for the information...wish we could have completed it but I don't like wheeling alone when it starts getting a bit tougher...
