Story:
Day 5
We got up early to cross the bay before the waves picked up. Just before we committed to the crossing, the guide decided that the weather looked ominous and had the crew pull into shore at Northeast Point. Good thing too! We weren't even completely out of our canoes when the store hit.
We rigged the dining fly the best we could to protect us but, half of us ended up being wrapped in it due to the high winds. The storm lasted from 7:00 am to 8:30 am. After that, we crossed the bay with no problems over to the central pickeral.
We had a short portage today to Fox Lake where our campsite was located. We camped on one island and the 'facilities' were on the adjacent island accessible by canoe.
The sunset tonight was spectacular! Had to hit the tent right after sunset due to the mosquitoes!
