Story:
The Farmington Canal Linear Park is the Cheshire, CT portion of the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail.

The route of the Farmington Canal later became the mainline of the New Haven & Northampton railroad which was abandoned in 1987.

North of this trail is a large gap, a short section of trail through Southington, another large gap and then the trail starts again in Farmington and continues north.

The south end of the trail connects to the Farmington Canal Greenway which continues to New Haven.
