Story:

This was a continuation trip from last year. We hiked the western half of the trail and first saw the Adirondack shelter at Rim Lake. One year later we decided it was time to head to the U.P. once again and it was time to see the rest of what this trail system had to offer. With an extra day and a goal to visit and stay at all three of the Adirondack shelters provided on the trails we headed out. This trip lasted from 1:30pm on Friday October 17, 2008 till around 12pm on Monday October 20, 2008. It was a good trip but full of walking through thick brush and lowlands trying to take the shortest paths between shelters. The shelters we stayed at were at Rim Lake, Indian River and Rumble Lake.

Tips:
Don\\\\\\\'t venture off trail on the north end, it is lowlands and thick brush. Trial walking is wonderful though.
