Story: America's Longest Cyclocross Race!
SS class, I ran 2:1, 36x18.
Flatted pretty close to the end, else may have finished 4th overall. Finished 7th anyway.
Betsy won too!
Started off doing a modified version of the Saturday course. The Spiral of Death doesn't show up too well. But it was really something to be seen, 300 riders going in and going out of the Spiral.
One of the most amazing parts for me was being w/ the lead group going down Rt. 30, which is fairly long and very fast. Crusing at 33+ mph in the 36x18 was one of the more difficult tasks to be done that day. You can't maintain that kind of cadence, it's more sprint-coast-repeat.
Tips: Do the whole weekend!
