Story:
We spent the weekend with the Webelos Scouts at Pinnacles NM. For our hike we went up Bear Gulch, along the ridge via High Peaks, and then back to the start via Condor Gulch: lots of fun with a group of about 25 kids and adults. Fortunately, the talus cave in Bear Gulch was still open. I believe it was the last day to pass through before the annual closure for bat nesting. The narrow and steep section along the top was a lot of fun, and the views were fantastic. A great day!

Tips:
This is definitely a cooler weather hike. There is practically no shade. The day we were there, even though the air temperature was in the 70s, the sun felt really hot. Take plenty of water!

That's a fun loop! The "unique flower" is a Mariposa Lily. They are just starting to flower, and will go for another month.
