Story:
This is the third consecutive year in the area and decided to explore more, the goal was a loop and hike up the waterfall by Ancient lakes. The weather here is hot even of the weather man tells you is not. In the middle of May it felt as 90F while the prognosis was for 78F.

The hike is not difficult yet it requires sturdy boots and some fitness level. We took our time to explore around and the whole trip took about 6 hours but it can be done in much shorter time. Towards the end we made a mistake and we took the northern trail of Judith pool instead of getting more directly towards H lake. That may have added to the total time, yet I am not able to spot a nice shortcut from the H lake to were we have parked.

We have not seen any rattlesnakes which started to worry me as it is the 3rd year in row we come here and we have not seen any ;) . Given the heat we will probably plan our next trip in March-April instead of May.

There are various points the trip can be shortened, see the other Ancient Lakes trip I have posted.
