Story:
A nice 4 mile hike through mainly wooded trails. Trails are very well marked and the trail map (copies found at the trailhead) is very clear. Nice visitor's center with rest room also located at the start of the trail. We took the longer hike, past Bear Rock, Whale Head Rock, then back down to Tripod Rock. This was obviously the highlight of the hike. It was a warm Saturday morning when we set out, and there were many others in the park that day, but never really encountered too many hikers at once. There were 3 other groups of hikers at Tripod Rock when we arrived, but it was fine. The 4 mile hike took us 3 hours, with several stops, including a snack stop at Lucy's Lookout.

Tips:
The main attraction of Tripod Rock definitely worth seeing. Lucy's Lookout gives you a nice vista. Also, near the end of the hike, an outcropping that is slightly off the trail offers a great view to the northeast.
