Story:
We started out from the Bear Gulch Day Use Area. We hiked up the Moses Spring trail to the Bear Gulch Cave trail and on to the caves. The caves were awesome. Water was dripping everywhere. After exiting the caves, we came to a trail junction. We zigged right when we should have zagged left. We had planned on hiking the rim trail but this junction was not marked. Turning Left, we looped back around on the Bear Gulch Caves trail and back to the Moses Spring trail. Not a problem since there was a cut-over on the trail which took us to the High Peaks trail.
We stayed on the High Peaks trail to the top, then all the wau down to the Bench trail. We returned to the cars via the Bear Gulch trail. Total trip was a little over 8 miles, though the GPS shows 7.6. The wildflowers were fantastic and abundant.
