Texas Hill Country Bluebonnet & Wildflowers - Texas, United States

Story:
I went to Texas to surprise my mother with a birthday partry for her 75th. It was a fast trip but we were able to get away for a few hours to enjoy the local wildflowers.  We started out at Phillips Ranch Rd and ended at Willow City were we went into a rather interesting Bar-B-Q place to get a drink.  Anyother day I might have stayed to enjoy some great hill country bar-b-q and visit with a few cowboys.
According to the family the flowers were past their prime.  They must have been out of this world at their peak.  It looks like the drought has ended here.  The lakes are filling back up.
Tips:
If you are here in late may/early april make sure you have a camera with plenty of memory and power.  I ran out of battery and had forgotten to bring a back up or the charger when I packed.
