cool trip. I did it nearly the same in 2004, also with a 4X4 pick up. For me one of the best places in africa ![]() |

Hi angi I don't remember very well, but I think that to go until Opuwo you can take 2 days. The reason is the road that they are gravel and it,s dangerouse drive fast. In all trip me and my girlfriend drived for 8/10 hours a day! Drive slow (70/80 km/h) because you can meet up an animals on the road! Don't drive by night, never, there are any local car whithout light.
Don't worry, the only problem that you will have is: when you are at home and you will look the picture you will want to come back to Namibia!!! ![]() |

Hi Alan
We are going to Namibia in August and we are planning on driving from Windhoek to Opuwo the first day and drive down within 2 weeks. How did you get to the North? did you drive as well? any advice is welcome, we are really lost on how to move around!
Thanks ![]() |

Great trip!
Did it myself in 2002. Too bad I didn't have GPS at that time... ![]() |
