I climbed elcap back when Regan was president , he shut down the budjet and all parks were closed . We didn know that as we were up on the Nose . Haha when we got down the park was empty and only the awanhee sp ? bar was open ... weee haaaaaaa those were the days im meen dazzzzz

I did exactly the same hike as yours but opposite direction one day later (8/26/2009). It was really a great hike. Too bad I didn't get to see the views of Illouette Falls as I couldn't find the spot.

This is a great hike! I did it years ago in the spring (early May) and in the reverse direction, which meant that we had Glacier Point all to ourselves and the waterfalls at full blast.
