Story:
El Toro is the striking symmetrical peak that rises from downtown Morgan Hill.  It's a landmark everywhere in southern Santa Clara County due to its shape and easy visibility.  You've probably seen it.  But have you been to the top?  Probably not .. it's private property, and going there is tresspassing.

Except one day every spring, when the Morgan Hill Historical Society sponsors a hike to the peak!

This is the STEEPEST hike in the Bay Area.  Really.  How many other hikes around here need ropes?
Tips:
To find the date of future hikes to El Toro, check out the Morgan Hill Historical Society:

I did the hill three times when I was living down there, but never on the designated day. I didn't know it was private; there weren't any signs. I did run accross rattlers _on_ the trail 2 of the three times...

Great pics! While I can stand many thousands miles of climbing, I am not able to stand thousands of people on the trail ;-) I'l wait until they open it year round :-)
