Story:
My forerunner says this is 26 miles. Everytrail says 27.2 miles before decimation and 24.2 miles after, which leads me to suspect some inaccuracy has crept in. No matter, this felt long. Moving ime was 7 hours. I spent sometime getting water from the creek at Grizzly Flat and at the drinking fountain at Skyline Ridge Nature center. I felt great until Grizzly flat at which point I started really slowing down. But the job down to Stevens Canyon and then back up to Page Mill road is wonderful. Just before the junction with Stevens Canyon fire road a little side trail takes you to Stevens Creek. This spot would be perfect for a family picnic.
