Cross Country Skiing at Brookhaven Golf Course in South Corinth, NY. This map shows my treks on the longer trails.
There are 8 trails, some in the woods
to ski/snowshoe. All are colour coded and there are trail maps on the
trail. I've only longed some of the longer ones.
Yellow trail is 3 miles and is your traditional golf course trail. Long runs on more level ground and nice big glides on the hills.
Blue is .8 miles into the woods and is a pretty mild run with some lovely views in the woods
Pink is 1.5 mile loop and and deepest into the woods. This trail has some more hills and curves in it.
Green is .4 mile near the trail head. Nice warm up loop with a steep drop in and a steep climb out.
Red is .5 mile a cut though the middle of the pink loop, with it's own sub loop. A little more advanced and will require a little more skill is you ski it fast.
Pink/Blue is .5 mile leg that connects the main pink and blue trails but is also a fun run again with more steep hills and tight turns.
Anything run on a trail that was steep or twisty Steve has tried to place some signs on the course to warn you. "More Difficult" but I've skied the whole thing in both Atomic ATC XC race skis as well as Atomic Back Country touring skis. So nothing special equipment wise is required. Just keep your whits about you and ski to your ability.
Cell phone seems to have good reception out here so I carry my tracfone with me. It's a nice just in case when I'm skiing alone and it also has a camera. Some times you do see nice stuff on this ski. I've chased up owls and hawks in the swampy area on the Blue Trail.
Finally this little gem is in northern Saratoga County and free to all. Maintained trails for XC skiing and snowshoes, no walking, no machines. So take care of it and don't do anything crazy out there and spoil it!

I like to park at the Club House and go from there.
