Story:

6 February 2010
17 - 19 degree Celsius
Relative humidity 90%
Cloudy with light rain patches

We parked our car at Pak Tam Chung before 8:30AM. There was only a handful of parking space left. We then walked along Man Yee Road to the its junction with Sai Wan Road. The hill path to Tai Cham Koi (大枕蓋) near M002 was largely "buried" in bushes. We took the next uphill path along the Sai Wan Road.

The District Council again paved cement to that segment of path. Somehow it's more taxing for us to walk up the cement road than the hill paths.

The path to Tai Cham Koi was all small pebbles. We could only enjoy the views of High Island Reservoir during the initial part of the journey. The day was very cloudy and cloud was really low. Before long, we were walking in the thick mist cum cloud with strong wind blowing against us. The visibility was barely 10 meters or less.

After we had reached the top of Tai Cham Koi, we headed North to go down the hills. At the junction of Luk Wu Country Trail, we then headed West to go to Pak Tam Au. It's then we met the first batch of people in the trail (We were a bit worried for the scarcity of people initially ... )

We were most delighted to see a bloom of bellflowers on Luk Wu Country Trail. The cheerful cherry colors and the bell shape of the flowers were really lovely.
