Story:
Yesterday (12/7/2009) was one of the coldest day (in the 20s) in the bay area since the 1998 Christmas and it snowed in most areas with the elevation of 500 feet or higher. Mission Peak was no exeception. I decided to pay it a visit the next day and luckily the snow was still there when I visited. From the trailhead, I could see most snow was on the south side of the hill and thus I decided to hike Horse's Heaven trail to go to the summit. It turned out to be a right decision as I did hike the trail of snow once I reached the elevation of 1,500 feet. In fact, only the ridges and the hills at the back and in south side were covered with snow. This was quiet a fun trip indeed.
