Bastion Cascades Via The Stone Hut Details

Story: Though the start of this track is not inspiring, beginning as it does at a clear fell coupe, it does get a whole lot better. Park at the end of Quarry road and follow the old logging track till reaching a signposted junction. The right path leads upward to the stone hut and a circuit walk beneath the sandstone escarpment to Bastion Cascades via the top of the falls. The left path leads straight to the bottom of the Cascades. You can do the walk as a circuit either way or do a return path to either of the major features.
For the circuit, take a packed lunch and spend the day. The walk will take about 4.5 hours, or a little longer if you want to linger at the Cascades.
