Jewish city tour Budapest - Budapest, Hungary

This trip was created using EveryTrail. Like what you see? Get the FREE iPhone App and share your trips.

My name is Andrew. I am a licensed private guide in Budapest, providing customized private car- and walking tours in Budapest.

The Jewish heritage tour ( by car or middle level walking) is a deep touch of history, life and architecture of Budapest.

As I drive my own car, I introduce my beloved city, my country and give
you a personalized view of this interesting part of Budapest.

The Jewish district in Pest has a long and rich history. The huge synagogues that you’ll see on this heritage tour give some idea of the area’s former activity. The Great Synagogue is the second largest Jewish temple in the world.

The tour will give you a general view trough history of the local Jewry, the Holocaust in Hungary and the present life of around 90,000 Jews living in the country.
Wallenberg memorial, Shoes holocaust monument at the Danube, Pava Str. Holocaust Museum, Jewish ghetto, Kazinczy Orthodox Synagogue, old streets and houses, Dohany main synagogue, Tree of Life, Jewish Museum, Holocaust Museum...

Follow the road of the history and remember...

I hope I will help for school groups to follow this trails to learn, understand an other part of our history and culture.

If you are interested in this private tour with a local expert, feel free to write me:
