Story:
This is just a little hike Jeff and I did with our huskies, Rio (13yrs) and Wizard (3yrs) at Afton State Park in Minnesota. We wanted to get the dogs out for some exercise and to see the colors along the St. Croix River. The sugar maples were at their peak of yellowness, creating some beautiful scenes that these un-adulterated iPhone photos just can't capture. But I hope you enjoy them anyway!
Wizard is the one wearing the red bags. He's in training for his pack dog title. For Siberian huskies, if you trek enough miles with enough weight on your husky's back, s/he can get a special "pack dog" title. We haven't done any official tracks with Wizard yet, but the added weight does ensure that he's nice and tired by the time we're done and go back to our computer jobs.
At the top (north) end of the hike, you can see the track skips a bit. The track was made via my iPhone, and I got a call from our friend Derrick making dinner plans for that night, and I forgot that this would affect the GPS logging. (I actually had another new GPS data logger with me at the time, but I doubt EveryTrail has conceived of multiple tracking devices being associated with the same trip.
