Story: The fall colors were just emerging around the lake and we had a nice ride enjoying the scenary. Lake Auburn is a public water source so there is no swimming permitted, or even wading in the water. We unfortunately ran in to a large logging truck on the trail the day we visited so we were forced to turn around and head back to the trail head about a mile and a half in to the trail. We're hoping our return trip will allow us to more fully explore the trail around the lake.
