Story:
One day out-and-back road bike trip through Sonora Pass (9624ft). We started from Dardanelle and climbed up Sonora Pass west side. After some break, we went down to Levitt Meadow campground then climbed back to Sonora Pass (east side). There was no driking water supply along the entire route. It was relatievely hot day (~90F) and everybody needed 2L+ water (I carried 4 x 24oz bottle plus 2L camel back).
There were several long (~1mile), steep (~15%) grades. Sometime it exceeds 20%. Strenuous, but beautiful route. Pavement was very good and the traffic volume was low.
