Story:
Easy 5 mile out and back hike (although you can go all the way to the Hoover Dam, approx. 4-5 miles one way) along Lake Mead.
In 1931, work begin on what was known as the Boulder Dam and more than 30 miles of rail lines were built to haul materials need to build the dam. The trail takes you through the River Mountains, approximately 500 feet over Lake Mead, offering scenic views of Lake Mead and the activities it offers. We saw various birds and lizards, and the tunnels provided welcome shade from the summer heat.

This is a great little hike. Very scenic with the lake as a back drop. The tunnels are awesome and no difficulty in getting in and out of this trail. If you are a Vegas hiking enthusiat, this should be on the top of your list.
