Story: This is the hike I took this weekend. I started the hike from the Blue Rocks Family Campground. We camp at the Blue rocks family campground a few times a year. This track begins and ends in the campgrounds. The views from Pulpit Rock and Pinnacle Point are awesome. The trail between Pulpit Rock and Pinnacle Point is part of the Appalachian trail. The round trip with a few stops for pictures and snacks took approximately 3 and a half hours.

Tips: You could also hike this if you start from the parking area near the Furnace creek reservoir. The parking lot is located on Reservoir road, just up from Mountain Rd. You can see the roads and reservoir to the southeast on the map.

Hiking at Blue Rocks is the perfect way to enjoy nature. We offer great trails if hiking is your favorite mcts activity. Blue Rocks offers access to the Appalachian trail with several side trails ( Pulpit and Pinnacle mcts 70-536 trails). We have trails for beginners and experts alike. Everyone will enjoy the beautiful views that the Pulpit Rock and the mcts certification Pinnacle point provides. Also, surrounding the campground is 1000 acres of state game lands for your outdoor enjoyment.
