Story:
A beautiful morning hike on Father's Day in complete solitude. After leaving the house at 5am while everyone slept, I headed for the Gap to ascend Mt. Tammany on a Hazy, Hot and humid morning. Taking the Red Trail to the Blue Trail and back along Dunnfield Creek to the Parking Lot offers an awesome vista of the gap during the aggressive ascent up Mt. Tammany. While a bit humid, the wethaer provided for some included fog hovering over the Gap which added to othe overall experience. Their is something purely amazing about overlooking the Gap so early in the morning with the River completely encased in fog. An aweseome start to a great Father's Day!

It's pretty steep in spots, but there are plenty of places to take a break. Just give yourself some extra time in case you need it and you should be fine!

How aggressive is the hike? Admittedly, I haven't hiked since I was 12, but as an extremely spontaneous person, I have an itch to go on a random hike here by myself tomorrow.
