Story:
This loop of about 5 miles takes the hiker around Jordan Pond and up the west face of the South Bubble Mountain (766 feet), then returns you for lunch at the Jordon Pond House, where tea and popovers await.

Tips:
Bring your stair-climbing shoes. This loop will take your breath away on the climb up the South Bubble, but if you persist, you will be rewarded by one of the oddest sights in Acadia - the Bubble Rock.
This ancient glacial erratic was deposited at a most unlikely point, where it remains to amuse and befuddle as it appears to defy gravity.
