Hiking Mount Washington - New Hampshire, United States

We took the Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail to the Lakes in the Clouds (AMC) Hut. From there we connected with Crawford Path (AT) to the summit of Mount Washington. The trek up Ammonoosuc was a bit wet, cloudy (we were in the clouds most of the way) and steep. We took several breaks on the climb but overall was not crazy hard. From the hut we assumed the trek to the summit would be hard. It wasn't any harder that Ammonoosuc and actually, we felt it may have been easier than that ravine trail. The summit was crazy busy with tourists who arrived by car and cog railroad. We headed back down the Gulfside Trail to Jewel Trail. Going down there was a lot of rock hopping and rocky footing overall. But being above treeline along the Gulfside Trail was a very nice way to enjoy the summit area (much more so than the actual summit). The Jewel Trail feels extra long once you're below treeline but the footing and terrain was an easy way to descend the mountain.
