Bickford Slides and Blueberry Ridge trail loop - Maine, United States

The Brickett Place historic house marks the trailhead for Bickford Brook Trail. We took that trail and then turned onto the Blueberry Ridge trail to summit Blueberry Mountain. We continued on the trail to Ames Mountain and then went over to Speckled Mountain. We headed back down Bickford Brook Trail, which was an easy descent. I have hiked to the Blueberry Ridge Trail from the Stone House and White Cairn trails from the Stone House trailhead with my kids and found that to be an easier climb to the views on Blueberry. But this much more challenging loop was a great way to summit three mountains in a day to see a variety of views.

THE MILEAGE ON THIS MAP IS INCORRECT!  The Everytrail app doesn't record the mileage correctly on my android. The hike is about 8.6 miles roundtrip according to the AMC guide.
Hike up Blueberry Ridge Trail and down Bickford Brook Trail because the ridge trail is more challenging with interesting views on the way up while Bickford makes for an easier descent when you're tired.
